I’m not your average sleep consultant. I am so much more than that. I am a certified Parenting and Sleep Coach. Sleep coaching is a service that I offer to parents struggling with their children’s sleep, in the context of their parenting journey.
Unlike the societal norm of traditional sleep consultants, I take a science based, holistic approach to parenting. Not some blanket, one size fits all approach.
The traditional model was based on Cry It Out (CIO) which is what a large group of society still believe sleep training to be. The CIO approach is based on leaving a baby or child independently, to cry for extended periods of time, without providing comfort and reassurance.
My philosophy is based on, nurturing, non-judgmental, compassionate, respectful parenting. It is my passion to empower parents to intuitively trust their natural instincts and feel calm, confident and in control.
When working with your family I will holistically address your unique challenges and situation. I consider your family dynamic, your personalities, your child’s temperament, cultural beliefs, sleep environment, health, nutrition and any relevant medical issues. Providing simple steps for you to follow, I will create a nurture based, tailored solution, without compromising your parenting style and I will guide you through the process to ensure success.
There are many successful techniques available to suit you and your parenting style, and I will work with you to determine the best fit for you and your family. Many people still ask, will my baby cry? A baby cries to communicate and express their needs and feelings, and when presented with change, this is a normal response. Rest assured that this is not the crying of child abandoned, in pain or hungry. If at any stage you are uncomfortable with the level of crying, you are encouraged to comfort and reassure your baby before continuing.
I am coaching you to intuitively parent your child, and to trust your instincts. If something doesn’t feel right, chances are it’s not.
